I'd been doing yoga-the asana for 29 years and when it came to Savasana, I would always shorten it.  But in doing this program,  I've come to realize all my Chakras had been unbalanced all my life and how important Savasana is, not only on the mat but in life. I now know and understand the importance of the history, philosophy and moral/ethical side of yoga which is what I embody now in my practice. Also, having received my feedback from my practical made me realize my dharma is to be a teacher.  I'm a school teacher, sine 1994 but have stepped away from it for some time.  In hearing Salla's positive words it made me realize I have to go back to it-do my part in helping with the crisis that education is in currently with the teacher shortage.  I can then figure out how to weave my yoga instruction in some way in the schools.  But I know the philosophy of Patanjali will be with me for the rest of my life.😍

Thank you for this, Helene. Such an important message.  I have to admit that since submitting my practical video two weeks ago, having poured so much into studying; preparing, recording and recording,  I've needed to step back and take a complete break while awaiting word back. Yoga has been part of my life for almost 30 years but I was exhausted from the final part of the program, working, running the household, etc.   I've been enjoying beautiful fall colors while in "nature meditation" with my puppy; going to a Bonnie Raitt concert; visiting old friends; watching old movies; and catching up on housework.  This weekend my goal is to do some meditation and yoga with a refreshed perspective as we wind down the month on a beautiful full moon and start a crisp new and colorful month!😍 Namaste 🙏

So beautiful, Mark.  Thank you for sharing. 😍 I have read and hold this wonderful little book on the shelf of my yoga space.  I incorporate this idea and feeling in every room of our home.  So important.  Also, use of clean burning candles or having a window open when burning candles is emphasized in the book. Infusing the warmth of the soft light in those long, cold dark winters. 💖 Definitely warm, comforting foods for the fall and winter are top of my list, as I love cooking and baking-sharing the love through full bellies of those I love...  ☕🥧🍮  Thank you to this wonderful yoga community for always re-grounding me in a life of busy-ness...🙏

Huge relief having passed my exam and just submitted my written.  Now to find the right time to do my recording in the next couple of days in peace! (Meaning husband and puppy out of the house!😁)  Feeling more and more relieved and looking to that light at the end of the tunnel! 😊  Happy September and Autumn everyone!        🏞🍎🌰
