You are right Angela. That is the tricky part, to be a guru is to be an enlightened teacher of the spiritual path, yet a guru cannot identify themselves with the "enlightenment" label as identification is part of the ego and blocks the spiritual path. So the question is, how to achieve liberation, and teach it without allowing identification with it? I am not sure if there is an answer to that but it is definitely something to think about.
